Hello
2013! It has been fun having Christmas break but it is time to get
back to business at the beach. I'm heading to Tybee for a quick trip to
tie up some loose ends at The Coral Cottage and I will continue to show
you the photos there until we've been through all of the rooms.
Right
now I am preparing to furnish another cottage on the same street. It
is a larger home suitable for a big family or a multi-family group
having a reunion--even a small Sunday School or corporate retreat or a
ladies weekend would fit in here.
This is a grand dame of the old Tybee raised cottages and I love it--but it is a doozie of a project! Thankfully I've had my friend Jane Coslick overseeing the remodeling and I've had her wonderful workers making everything safe and beautiful.
There
is a tiny apartment under the main roof that Jane and I have dubbed
"Mini Pearl". The main part of the house has yet to be named. Put your
thinking caps on!
I love the porch rail detail and can feel the ocean breeze.
ReplyDeleteThis place would be great for a Whitworth family beach week!
Deletecannot wait to see the inside of that house!
ReplyDeleteI am in love with coral cottage....you've given me so many good ideas about my master re-do at our lakehouse.
Thanks! You should check out my Pinterest page too--especially the board called Seas The Day--lots of cool stuff. My Pinterest account is in the name Vicky Patton. I need to link my blog to it.
DeleteOh....and where did you find that comforter..so cute!
ReplyDeleteWhich comforter? The one in the Coral Cottage master bedroom that I showed in the sneak peek a while back? I'm blogging all about it this week so I hope you'll check back in. That comforter came from Target.
DeleteBy the way, I'd love to know who publishes your blog book each year.
DeleteSHUT THE FRONT DOOR!!!! Target??? Why, oh why can I never find cool stuff at those places? For sure, I thought it was custom made with some fancy schmancy fabric....ooooo I love it so much. Would love to do my whole room around it. Look out tar-gae....I'm a comin'!!
DeleteBlog2Print is who does my book. so easy. takes them about 10 min to download a whole yrs worth of blog...I've been happy every yr with them...
Thanks! Check for the comforter online--they often have stuff there that is not in the stores. That is where I found it.
DeleteOne more thing...search "Boho hippie" when you go on Target's website. They have lots of gorgeous collections. I'm loving one by Room Essentials that has a yellow, light blue and I think grey chevron.
DeleteThanks for the ideas--I'll throw your suggestions into the hat!
ReplyDeleteI love the house already and have even not seen the majic you and Jane will do.
ReplyDeleteThanks Janet! Starting to get excited even though we are far from finished!
