Ready, Set, Go! Racing to Finish!

Hey everybody!  My hubby Henry had a rare Friday off and we both drove down to Tybee to check on our houses.  We stayed at the Coral Cottage and noted a few little projects we needed to handle (done!).

We also went to see "Doc Holiday" (our personal beach cottage aka huge reno project).  It's been almost 3 months since Henry has been to Tybee Island so you can see that he desperately needs some Tybee Time!

Henry and our contractor Anthony Sapone discussing what comes next.

The weather was atypical for May--very cool and windy with misty and, at times, heavy rain.  Anthony and I are modeling our windblown crazy hair!

Thankfully the rain and wind stopped and the sun came out this afternoon so the workers can put up siding this week during some gorgeous weather!   Henry has gone home now and I am still at Tybee planning to do some whirlwind shopping the next two days!

There is a lot to do to keep ahead of the workers if we are to finish this cottage by Memorial Day weekend!  Do you think we can do it?  We're sure gonna try!

Your family is going to make so many wonderful memories at "Doc Holiday". I was sorry to read about Duke. He looked like he was a very important crew member. I can't wait to see the finished cottage. I am off the visit House of Turquoise now.
